for anyone interested in learning about
and making the future of the web
October 25 - 27, 2013 | London, UK

The idea

Have a team of mentors acting in a similar capacity to the Human-API from previous years, but with the more engaging of participants sitting in the big space, not working on anything in particular.

Mentors should...

  • ...have experience with prior events that either they've run, or attended.
  • ...be outgoing, and able to engage people in a making activity.
  • ...have a good understanding of starter makes exist, and the skills they encourage.

Goals

  • Teach webmaking to those who wouldn't have thought of the technical side of things (html, css, js) as being something they could do at the festival.
  • Recuit more mentors into the webmaker community.
  • Act in a similar capacity to the human api, but with less focus on technical work, and more on teaching webmaking skills.

There will be...

  • Teaching
  • Helping those who don't think they can code, code.
  • Sharing
  • Skills, makes, experience
  • Organizing
  • Breakout learning + games
  • Monkeying around
    • ... stay tuned to find out more

Get Involved, and on the radar!
