Furthermore, I don't know to what extent Firefox uses P3P, but with the added focus on privacy it would seem wise to put some extra work into it. XForms <code><bind/></code> elements can have a <code>@p3ptype</code> attributes, which gives a very clear hint to the browser of what information is asked for (e.g. 'user.name.family' -> last name). Making auto-filling of forms easy and reliable is important especially for online shoppers, and therefor also the shops. This could push online shopping sites to use XForms and P3P.
